January 21st, 2012  - Saturday Birthday Party

The Scarlet Macaws held a birthday party at the clubhouse on Saturday, January 21st

Mary Cowan is our queen mother and she and her staff did a wonderful job, we had a light luncheon and her daughter Peggy Killinger did a wonderful job playing card games with us, everyone got to win a prize. We all said this should be a yearly affair...

April 13th, 2011  - Wednesday

The Red Hatters went to Mixon Fruit Farms on Wednesday, April 13th... there were 22 women that attended, first we had a nice lunch and we got to see a short film on how the farm started and how it runs... we also each received a ticket for a small cone of ice cream which was delicious..

 
After we went on a tram ride that lasted about one hour, we had a guide that explained the different fruit trees, we stopped were they had animals that had been rescued, attached are some of the animals and birds,
   
We did see a large pig, a white racoon, different parrots, a skunk which had a big white stripe on his back and I do mean big.
   
  We later got dropped off in front of the beautiful gift shop and did some shopping, some of us did go to the beautiful flower garden, you'll see pictures at the garden, you'll also see a picture of Marie Lou Lira, Joan Collins, Lorraine Labonte, Elaine Studer and Beverly Whiterell, in the garden.
   
Joan Russell and Lorraine Labonte hosted the event, there's a picture of Lorraine, Joan and Becky Miller who was the tour coordinator... Birthday girls were, Janice Mayette and Marge Freeman.. It was a beautiful day and we had a wonderful time.

 		  

 

October 27th, 2010  - Wednesday

Twenty-five members of the Scarlet Macaws met at the Alpine Steak House Wednesday, October 27th.  Queen Mother Mary Cowen welcomed everyone and thanked our hostess, Adele Beauregard.  We celebrated the birthdays of Vivian Watkins and Teresa Coddins.
