November 6 - Tuesday

There were76 present for the first coffee of the new season.  
   
Outgoing president, Pat Myers conducted an installation service for the new officers. They are, from left, Mike Delaney - President, Bob Beauregard - treasurer and Ramona Armstrong - secretary. Vice President, Linda Burrows has not yet returned to Orange Acres. Pat passed the gavel to Mike who  presented her with a gift certificate for Orange Acres apparel.
   
Jim Jaeger led the group in prayer. Caroline Turner introduced Bob and Lorraine Brunelle who purchased 74 Loren Drive.
 

November 10 - Saturday

A great parade again this year with twelve golf carts and about 30 on foot. The weather was perfect for a day in the sun.
   
Charlie Parkes, center, organized and emceed the program. Gene Mathes, upper left opened with prayer. The Grand Marshall was Greg Fa=erritto, lower left. Joan Kapp, right, had a reading on the origin of "taps".  
   
There were about 100 met at the park and later in the clubhouse for lunch.  
   
The entertainment for the festivities was the great Patti Highland from Venice.  

November 13 - Tuesday

There were 86 at coffee this morning.  
   
Here is our new president Mike Delaney in full charge.  

November 17 - Saturday

There were about 29 at the Lost-in-the-50's Dance tonight at the clubhouse. Lots of good music and fun visiting. Best of all it was free.
 
Disk jockey Gene Mathes kept the music going from 7 pm until almost 10  pm.

November 20 - Tuesday

We had 85 at the coffee hour this morning.
 
Mike Delaney presided over his first business meeting following the coffee hour. Treasurer Bob Beauregard presented the financial report and the new budget.

November 22 - Thursday

There were 57 at the annual Thanksgiving dinner today. The food of course was delicious.
 
Gene Mathes welcomed the group. Jimmy Johnson had the blessing.
 
Jean Delaney, center front, hosted the event with helpers  Anlee Welker on the left and Faye Spinney on the right. The men in the back row cooked the four turkeys. They are from left, Bob Beauregard, Hugh Spinney and Armand Strangis.

November 26 - Monday

There were 19 at the beach party today. It was a great day for the beach.
 
There was a lot of good food to share. The grills were going with more great food.
   
A good sing-a-long took place after the meal with Gene Mathes leading it.

November 27 - Tuesday

There were 84 at coffee this morning.

 
Mary Ryman introduced new resident Phil Swain who resides at 232 Jason Drive.

November 28 - Wednesday

There were 19 Orange Acres residents attending the Holly Jolly Christmas Show at Broadway Palm in Ft. Myers today.
 
The production was excellent as was the food.
