October 2 - Tuesday

There were 45 at coffee this morning. The two residents who purchased lot #232 joined us at breakfast this morning. They are Phil Swain, left, and Joe Staton, right. Welcome to Orange Acres.

October 3 - Wednesday

Bingo has begun on Wednesday evenings from 7 to 9 pm. And here is our great caller Ray Bergeron.
   
This group of northerners gathered at Lorraine's house for a Summer's End Get-together. They are, from left, Romeo & Jeannine Crepau, Faye Spinney, Ken & Joan Russell, Hugh Spinney, Lorraine Labonte and Claudette Aubin. See you all soon.

October 9 - Tuesday

There were 50 at the coffee hour this morning. Some of the snowbirds are already returning.

 

 
New residents of 108 Loren Drive, Elaine and Phil Albarano, were with us this morning. Alaine is the sister of Ed Marion.

October 16 - Tuesday

There were 57 at coffee this morning. Those standing are the returned residents and their guests.

October 22 - Monday

There were 13 at the first beach party of the season at Siesta Key Beach. Here Gene Mathes sang some songs and led the group in a sing-a-long prior to the meal. After the meal some went swimming and some walked the beach but all had a good time.

October 23 - Tuesday

There were 70 at coffee this morning. A lot more have returned this last week.  
   
Mary Ryman introduced Joan Pollack who lives at 18 Jeffrey Drive. Mary then introduced Brenda Lane who lives at 38 Jeffrey Drive.
   
After the meeting Moe Warrington introduced PaulDarilek, director of Living Water El Salvador. Paul Darilek presented information on the four wells that Orange Acres residents sponsored and gave everyone a big thanks for the great effort of providing four wells in El Salvador.

October 30 - Tuesday

There were 78  at coffee this morning. This was the last morning for our outgoing president Pat Myers. Next Tuesday our new president Mike Delaney will be in charge.

October 31 - Wednesday

There were 73 at the Halloween pot luck at the clubhouse tonight. Anne Hubert did a great job of organizing and planning this event.
   
There was lots of good food which is nothing unusual.

  We had eleven participants in the costume contest. There were a lot of great ones.
       
Here are the winners: left to right Adele O'Connell & Bob Beauregard 2nd place couple, John & Doreen Gibbons 1st place couple, Jean Delaney 1st place women, Mike Delaney 1st place men and in front Marcia Ferritto special winner. The judges for this event were Maxine Mock & Bessie Kunkle.
