May 1 - Tuesday

There were 71 at coffee this morning. The snowbirds are heading north again.

May 8 - Tuesday

There were 61 at the pancake breakfast this morning  
   
This is the great crew providing the breakfast today. They are, left to right, Ada Murphy, Ward & Audrey Young, Charlie Parkes, Joan Kapp, Marti Gauthier and Grace Sherry. Marti Gauthier, left, is taking over as sunshine lady for the summer while Mary Ryman, left, is up north.
   
Chaplain, Jim Jaeger was with us this morning and led the group in prayer.  


 


May 11 - Friday

This new home was placed on lot # 40 today.

May 15 - Tuesday

There were 49 at the coffee hour this morning. Jim Jaeger spoke to us again and led us in prayer.

May 21 - Monday

 

This is our first trial at movies on this web site. There were 25 at the pool for our pool party this evening. The weather was great and so was the company.

Twenty stayed for the meal and the sing-a-long led by Gene Mathes. Our pitch isn't the best but we had a great time singing together.

May 22 - Tuesday

There were 56 at coffee this morning.

May 24 - Thursday

Ward Young took this photo of Gene Mathes singing at the bluegrass jam tonight at Bee Ridge Park. This group plays every Thursday night from 7 till 9 pm.

May 26 - Saturday

There were 12 Orange Acres residents on the Ship & Shore bus trip to Tampa Today. They all ate lunch at The Whistle Junction before attending the play. At the Tampa Bay Performing Arts Center they enjoyed the hilarious show "Menopause The Musical".

May 28 - Monday

There were 40 present at the Memorial Day potluck tonight at 6 pm. Here Ann Hubert welcomes the group. Gene Mathes led the group in patriotic song followed by a movie.

May 29 - Tuesday

There were 39 at coffee this morning.
   
Marti Gauthier, our sunshine lady, reporting on the health of our residents. Gene Mathes was the only birthday this morning and had to stand while accompanying the singing of "Happy Birthday".
