March 1 - Thursday

There was a good crowd out tonight for a great fish fry.
 
Chairperson for this event, Joyce Mansfield welcomed everyone. The serving line was efficient and quick.
   
Singer Tony Dale Started his music during the meal time. It was great to have dinner music. There was even an area of the dance floor reserved for dancing.

March 6 - Tuesday

There were 150 at coffee this morning. It was State T-Shirt day with the following results: The most people were from Michigan followed by Ohio, New York and Massachusetts.
 
After the coffee hour, the residents board of directors had their meeting in the library in preparation for the General Meeting next Tuesday.

March 8 - Thursday

There were 80 player at the Whist Party tonight Hosted by Hugh and Faye Spinney. Hugh made sure that everyone had a great time. And of course there were plenty of cookies.

March 11 - Sunday

Lots of fun in the pool today with the temperature in the 80's. There were 31 in and around the pool when this picture was taken. Count them. (Don't forget the photographer).

March 13 - Tuesday

There were 130 at coffee this morning.  
   
After coffee we had our business meeting to elect the officers for the 2007-2008 Season. The new officers starting November 1 will be, from left, Mike Delaney - President, Linda Burrows - Vice President, Ramona Armstrong - Secretary and Bob Beauregard - Treasurer.

March 15 - Thursday

There were 113 attending the Ladies Tea today at the clubhouse.  
   
Earle Brennan provided music as the ladies gathered. Charlene Sherman welcomed the crowd and opened with prayer.
   
Pam Rickels and Doreen Gibbons were the tea servers. They were entertained by dancers from "Drake School of Irish Dance."

March 17 - Saturday

A great day for our Sports Day even though the weather was cool. Most people tried to stay in the sun while they worked.
 
Lots of activity on all the games. Even some visitors entered into the fun.
 
Lots of people got to try out their skills. Here is Ed Faust with the only hole-in-one of the day.
 
At the end of the games, chairman Gene Mathes presented the prizes to the winning participants.

March 18 - Sunday

A great planning session was held today at the clubhouse. Mike Delaney got a good start on the chairpersons and programs for the 2007-2008 activities and events. And, of course, coffee and cookies were served.

March 20 - Tuesday

There were 138 at coffee this morning.
   
Mary Ryman introduced Gil and Jane Forrler who purchased lot 178. She also introduced Edna and Dave Mongeau. They have purchased 159 Tammy, Reitdorf's place.
   
Ila Meehan introduced the coronation of the new King and Queen of Orange Acres. The current Royalty, Jim and Mary Lessard, escorted the new king and queen to the platform.
   
Past royalty Anne Hubert and Tom Myers presented the robes and crowns. We present to you the new king and Queen of Orange Acres, Ralph and Phyllis Haas

March 22 - Thursday

There were about 110 enjoying the wiener roast at the clubhouse this evening. They tasted as good as they looked.

March 23 - Friday

The dance tonight at the clubhouse featured Silver Sounds. Here are some visiting and enjoying the music.
   
The door prize winners were Larry Stine, Dwight Holden, Gene Mathes and Jean Zigler. The great committee that arranged the dance was Jane Finley, Jean Delaney, Shirley Dodd, Marilyn Borowski and Beverly Whiterell.

March 26 - Monday

There were 93 at the Snowbird Picnic today, held at Twin Lakes Park. Lots of fun and great weather. Anlee Welker did a great job of organizing this event. At the previous two years there were 53 and 65. These are the door prize winners.

March 27 - Tuesday

There were 119 at the coffee hour this morning.
 
Co-Owner Jeff Warrington spoke about the recent thefts of two golf carts in the community. Even though they were recovered, he gave us guide lines to protect our belongings in the future. Jeff also presented shirts which the office will be selling. They will have the Orange Acres logo as shown on this sign.

March 28 - Wednesday

There were 29 Orange Acres residents that went to the Broadway Palms Dinner Theatre today for a fabulous meal.
 
The play, "Damn Yankees", was also super. They always do a great job.
