Russell won 20 lotto tickets in a drawing held by Vic Gerber.
 There
were 54 attended the Jamboree-In-The-Park today at 2 pm. The weather was
perfect for an outdoor event. |
 Gene
Mathes, Dick Vierus and Dave Walworth entertained the crowd with solos and
sing-a-longs. |
These
five took the first bike-ride-to-the-mall of the season today. Left to right are
Jim Lessard, Lorraine Labonte, Nancy & Ralph Bush and Gene Mathes. A perfect day
for a bike ride.

 The
first was Dick and Karen Rasske who live at 131 Jeffrey Circle |
 The
second introduction was Adele O'Connell who lives at 24 Jeffrey Dr.

Following
coffee the General Meeting was held. The 7 board members shown here are Joan
Kapp, Ila Meehan, Mary Lessard, Gene Mathes, Pat Myers, Mike Delaney and Dick
Vierus. Absent was Tony Zarrillo. The budget was voted on and the donut price
was raised to $1.
 The
Veteran's Day parade started at the clubhouse at 11 am and proceeded to the
park. Ralph Bush led the parade with the American flag. There were twelve
golf carts in the parade. |
 Ralph
& Nancy Bush won a $10 prize for the best decorated golf cart.

 There
were about 158 people attended the services. It was a perfect day for an
outside program. |
 Charlie
Parkes and Greg Ferritto arranged a great program today. |
 Caroline
Turner presented a reading in front of the gazebo. |
 There
were about 128 people stayed for the lunch in the clubhouse. |
 Orange
Acres presented Charlie Parkes with a clock made with a US Army plaque for
his effort for the past years in organizing the Veteran's Day programs. |
 Dick
Vierus filled in with solos and a sing-a-long before the main entertainment. |
 Jan
& Phil Enroe entertained us with a really great show for over an hour. |
 Everyone
seemed to have a good time listening to the old songs at the fifties dance held
tonight at the clubhouse.

 Disk
jockey Gene Mathes played requests all evening. Some danced and some just
listened. |
Five
Orange Acres residents attended the FMO meeting at Park East in Sarasota today.
The
new FMO representative, Sterling Emerson, from Orange Acres was introduced to
the group.
There were 100 at coffee this morning. Everyone that wanted flu shots got them this morning. Vic Gerber was available after coffee to discuss the Medicare prescription program with those interested. I again forgot to take pictures. I really need a photographer to help me on Tuesday mornings.
There

Barbara Lighter who has moved into 169 Tammy Dr.

There
were 65 at the Thanksgiving dinner held today at the clubhouse. As usual the
food was fantastic and the fellowship was great.
Pat
Tays did a great job of organizing this wonderful event.
Gene
Mathes has his model trains in his carport at 62 Jeffrey Drive until Thursday
when they will be moved to the clubhouse for the Craft & Hobby Show on Saturday.
Come by and visit any time.
Here

make it look real. This town sure has dirty streets.
 There
were 14 that attended the beach party at Siesta Key Beach today. The weather
turned cool and windy but the rain held off till the afternoon. |
 We
all had a good time together and the food was great as usual. |
