These pictures progress from top to bottom

June 7 - Tuesday

There were 41 at coffee this morning.

June 11 - Saturday

Tropical Storm Arlene came up the gulf and dropped about three inches of rain on us in the last 24 hours. As you can see by this picture, the water level is right up to the gazebo and the bridge.

June 14 - Tuesday

There were 41 for the pancake breakfast this morning. A few more showed up for the speaker afterwards.

Here is the pancake crew that did such a fantastic job. Our speaker was Mr. David Wilson from the Red Cross.  He spoke on being prepared for disasters.

This afternoon there were ten of us came to the pool to cool off from the afternoon sun.

June 15 - Wednesday

Mike and Jean Delaney sent this picture of them with their oldest granddaughter Georgianna Rowe who graduated from Herkimer
Community college with a degree in Communications.

June 20 - Monday

Gene Mathes has been restoring his motorcycle after being without it for three years. It was stolen from Melva's son about two years ago, bought by someone at a police auction, and stolen from that person about a month ago.  The Sheriff's  department traced it to Gene but it was not in a ride-able condition at that time.  He still has some more restoring yet to do. You may have seen him riding around the park.

June 21 - Tuesday

There were 37 at coffee this morning. Marj Dunn passed out the Pictorial Directories to those in attendance.

June 23 - Thursday

We had a downpour this afternoon and the park with the gazebo is shown here really flooded.

June 27 - Monday

There were 13 at the pool party this afternoon in spite of the threatening rain. We played in the pool like a bunch of kids.

We had our meal in the clubhouse because of the sprinkles. Gene Mathes led the sing-a-long using his "QChord".

June 28 - Tuesday

There were only 16 at coffee this morning because 12 people took the bus trip which left at 7:45 am.

Ila Meehan filled in for the president at coffee.

The first stop on the bus trip was at the Southeastern Guide Dogs facility in Palmetto. Here they were given the orientation and video.

They all got to see the puppies and the adult dogs in training.

Lunch was held at the roaring 20's Pizza and Pipes.

The Mighty Wurlizter was played by Bill Vlasak for one hour during lunch.

Here is the group enjoying the food amd music. The last stop was a tour of the Port Manatee deepwater seaport facilities.

June 29 - Wednesday

Could you believe Gene had a serious back operation a couple of months ago?  The picture shows him cleaning out the fish pond which was caved in by either deer or raccoons.  We need a little (just a little) of your rain to take care of the dry and hot weather lately.  Take care.  Love to all. Pam Rickels

The new home was delivered to lot #198 today. Very few observers because of the rain.
