February 1 - Tuesday

There were 187 at coffee this morning. Jeff Warrington spoke about the yard waste which will be picked up on Wednesdays from now on. Special speaker Pat Selanikio from the Senior Friendship Center spoke to the group explaining the facilities there.

February 2 - Wednesday

The Ladies Luncheon was held today at Cafe Baci. There were 57 present. Irene Zarrillo, shown in the center, was in charge of the event. These pictures show almost everyone that attended.

February 3 - Thursday

The men were in charge of the pot luck tonight. We had 144 present.

Everyone had all the food they could eat.

Anthony Cirillo entertained everyone with his great selection of love songs that he sang in keeping with Valentine's Day.

February 7 - Monday

There were three residents that took the bike ride to the mall today, They were, left to right, Becky Ciraulo, Gene Mathes and Jim Lessard. It was a great day for a bicycle ride.

February 8 - Tuesday

There were 134 at coffee this morning. All those that had anniversaries while they were up north were recognized and sung to this morning.

February 10 - Thursday

There were about 40 attended the men's luncheon today at Stonybrook Golf and Country Club. It is the first time we have tried this place.

February 12 - Saturday

There were about 166 people that came out tonight to celebrate the 50th anniversary of six couples that reside in Orange Acres.

These are the couples honored from lef to right: Sam & Becky Ciraulo, Lou & Donne Gorzycki, Ralph & Phyllis Haas, Reg & Pat Tays and Mike & Jean Delaney. Roger & June Prunier were also honored even though they could not be here tonight.

There were about 150 showed up for the Ice Cream Festival tonight.

February 17 - Thursday

The hall has been taken over by the Flea Market. Here are the workers sorting the items and marking the prices. They will be all ready by Saturday morning.

February 19 - Saturday

Here is the crowd about 10 am this morning doing their shopping at the annual Flea Market. The line started forming outside the clubhouse this morning before 8 am for the 9 am door opening. There were also great lunches available and donuts for breakfast if that's what you preferred

About 20 Orange Acres residents attended the public hearing at the Harborview Center in Clearwater today. It was held by the Florida Department of Financial Services for Nationwide Insurance Company of Florida to present their rate increases to the public. We were there to show our opposition to the insurance rate increases.vvv

Everyone in the audience had the opportunity to voice their opinions. Here Liz Bond and Greg Ferritto got their chance to address the crowd with their ideas and comments.
