Welcome

Please put your garbage, recycling, and yard waste out AFTER 5 p.m. on Tuesday or before 6 a.m. on Wednesday for pickup on Wednesday.  Please do not put yard waste out on any other days as it will not be picked up until Wednesday.

RULE #30 says that all guests that stay longer than 48 hours must be registered with the office.  We need their name, city & state, age if they are under age 18, dates of their visit, and your name or lot number.  You can give us this info via email, phone, a visit to the office, or a note in the drop box.  Why do we need this information?   Several reasons - we must know who is in our community at all times, it is our way to track length of visits, and to enable us to deliver messages in case of emergency.

2010 Verizon Telephone books are now in the community centre.  They’re currently along the eastern wall but will be placed in the closet between the restrooms.  The small white book has Bradenton, Myakka City, & Venice phone numbers; the large yellow book has Sarasota and the Yellow Pages.  Your old telephone books are great to take back north with you or keep in your vehicle in case you need to find phone numbers when you’re out – saves you from calling information!

Do you see rules being broken?   Do you know of people staying in the park that haven’t been registered?  Homes that need attention?  Speeding?   Unattended children or grandchildren near the ponds or at the pool?   If so, please contact management.    It is in the best interests for everyone – residents and management alike – if rules are followed and enforced.  Unfortunately, we aren’t everywhere in the community 24 hours a day/7 days a week so we don’t always know if rules are being broken.    If we see it or know about it, we talk to the offending party or parties.   When you have a complaint, please talk to us about it.   We cannot act on anonymous calls or notes – we must be able to talk with the person making the complaint.  But we do not tell anyone who made the complaint.    Can you help us make Orange Acres an even better place to live?   We really appreciate your cooperation and your help!

Thanks for taking A Moment with Management!
