 Did you ever stop to think,
How lucky we are to have water to drink?
Right from our faucets - every day -
Enough to cook, and wash, and even to play!

Not so for folks in rural El Salvador,
Who often must hike for miles to secure
Just enough water to get by,
But so impure that many children DIE!

Our hearts have been touched by their desperate need!
Here at Orange Acres we hope to succeed,
By gathering enough funds to complete
One clean water well – a most worthy feat!

Facts about Water Needs in El Salvador:

  • 80% of the rural population does not have access to potable water.

  • The lack of clean water is the number one killer of children under five.

  • 12,000 children die each year of diseases caused by drinking impure water

  • Families walk for miles to wait in line to gather water from distant springs.

  • Others drink water from polluted streams, or hand dug wells.

Facts about Living Water El Salvador (LWES):

  •  Living Water El Salvador is a non-profit ministry.

  •  LWES has provided clean water to rural areas for people in desperate need since 1999.

  •  LWES wells can be found in churches, schools, clinics, orphanages and community centers.

  •  100% of all donations go directly to drilling sealed deep water wells in El Salvador.

  •  All donations are tax deductible.

 

 OUR GOAL of  $20,000 TO SPONSOR THE DRILLING OF THREE MORE CLEAN WATER  WELLS was accomplished on April 17, 2007!
